 Anthony Joshua is a British professional boxer who competes in the heavyweight division. Born on October 15, 1989, in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, Joshua has achieved significant success in his boxing career.


Anthony Joshua won a gold medal in the super heavyweight division at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, which served as a launchpad for his professional career. He turned professional in 2013 and quickly gained attention for his impressive knockout power and athleticism.


In April 2016, Joshua won his first major professional title, the IBF (International Boxing Federation) heavyweight title, by defeating Charles Martin. He went on to defend his title successfully against several opponents, including Dominic Breazeale, Eric Molina, and Wladimir Klitschko.


Joshua's most significant fight to date took place on April 29, 2017, at Wembley Stadium in London. He faced Wladimir Klitschko in a highly anticipated bout for the IBF, WBA (Super), and IBO (International Boxing Organization) heavyweight titles. Joshua won the fight by technical knockout in the 11th round, solidifying his status as a top heavyweight in the world.


Since then, Anthony Joshua has had notable fights against opponents such as Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, and Andy Ruiz Jr. In June 2019, Joshua suffered a shocking upset loss to Andy Ruiz Jr., but he regained his titles in a HVrematch in December 2019.


Joshua's boxing style is characterized by his combination of power, speed, and agility. He stands tall at 6 feet 6 inches (198 cm) and possesses excellent punching power. He has an orthodox stance and uses a variety of punches to overwhelm his opponents.
